Self-hypnosis for concentration

Ten days to enter a task more easily, limit chosen distractions and return without self-judgement when attention drifts.

Reduce the cost of getting started

The program is designed for moments when a clear task remains difficult to begin or resume. It combines a very short start, preparation of the environment and guided attention sessions. It does not seek perfect concentration: noticing a distraction and returning is part of the exercise.

A practical ten-day approach

You choose a task and a few frequent obstacles. Souffle then helps you prepare a sufficiently small first action: open the document, place the phone out of reach or start a timer. An “if–then” plan can add to this preparation, for example: “if I open a new tab for no reason, then I close it and reread the last sentence”.

Sessions use breathing, focus and guided suggestions. You can change the voice, speed and silences or practise without spoken narration. Notes and progress remain in the browser or installed application. An encrypted export lets you back them up without creating an account.

What the research allows us to say

Implementation intentions are studied as a self-regulation strategy. A meta-analysis of 94 studies reports a favourable average effect on goal attainment, with findings that depend on context and the quality of the initial goal. This supports the value of prepared plans but validates neither the ten-day format nor Souffle itself.

What the program does not do

A significant, long-standing difficulty present across several areas may require professional assessment. Souffle neither diagnoses nor treats an attention disorder, depression, burnout or another medical cause. It also does not replace educational or workplace adjustments that may be useful.

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to work for a long time after the session?

No. The program first helps you begin. You then choose a realistic duration based on your energy and task.

Does Souffle block other applications?

No. It suggests preparing the environment but cannot access your other applications or their content.

Are my tasks analysed?

No. Text you enter remains locally on the device and is not used to build a profile.
